It might be because I'm persnickety. When I showed these to daughter Margo, she couldn't see any reason for my disapointment. But look, I told her, the bottom border is closer to the edge than the top border is.
We just wanted to tell you up front why these cute cards are on sale. They come with envolpes, and can be used to mail out Christmas wishes, but they're small enough -- and low cost enough -- to be used as a to/from gift card on packages.
This exquisite and classy Christmas card / Greeting card was done by London painter and embroidery artist Ann MacBeth (1870-1948). It is a rare Catholic example of Art Nouveau, a popular style which flourished in the opening years of the 20th Century.
The colors are rich and subtle, the composition is intricate and lush. Angels are attending the baby Jesus, worshipping him, doting on him, and presenting him.
It comes in a 3.5x5" size, folded down from 5x7", (4.9x6.9) with a white envelope. As a Nativity Scene, it is properly a Christmas card, but it is so beautiful, and the inside is blank, so you could use it for other occasions, such as Baby Showers, Birthdays, Mother's Days, Thank You Cards, or just to say hello. The card has a nice matt finish, which gives it a fine art look The matt finish also makes it easier to write inside compared to a glossy card.
Like many of our products, it is unique. We are the only source for it.
NOTE: Inkjet printers will not work on this coated card stock! A laser printer will.
- 5x7", folded down from10x7". Orders of 50 or more are shipped flat, which can be printed in a laser printer.
